Town of Manlius residents may obtain a Handicap parking permit at the Manlius Town Clerk's office located at:

Applicants will need to have the following in order for the Town Clerk to process a Handicap Parking Permit:
- A completed MV 664.1 form
- New York State Drivers License, if you don't have one a valid photo ID
- The individual applying does not have to appear in person. We will still need the completed form and ID for the person.

The County and Town taxes are sent out the end of December and are due January 31st. This tax bill covers from January thru December of the current year. The School taxes are sent out the beginning of September with the due date varying from year to year depending on when they are mailed out. Thirty days are allowed for the collection. The School tax bill covers from July 1st of the current year thru June 30th of the next year.
County, Town and School Taxes for the town of Manlius are collected at the Receiver of Taxes Office, 301 Brooklea Dr. Fayetteville NY 13066. Tax payments that are not delinquent should be made payable to Laura Peschel, Reciever of Taxes. Town and County taxes are collected January 2nd through March 31st and School Taxes are collected from September 1st through October 31st. Delinquent tax payments are payable to the Onondaga County Chief Fiscal Officer, 421 Montgomery St. PO Box 1004, Syracuse NY 13201-1004. Town and County tax payments should be payable to the County after March 31st and School taxes are payable to the county after October 31st.
Penalty dates should be verified with the Receiver of Taxes as those dates fluctuate on a yearly basis.
Yes. Credit or Debit Card payments must be made in person and they will also be charged a 2.65% user fee.
Yes. The first partial payment may be any amount and must be paid during the penalty-free period. There may be four payments for County & Town taxes and three payments for School taxes. Each payment after the due date must include current penalties only on the remaining balance that is due. No partial payments may be accepted on properties with delinquent taxes, unless in a current installment agreement at the county. All payments made after the close of collection at the town have to be made in full at the county.
Yes, we accept US Postal postmarks, Fedex, Airborne, UPS, Brown and DHL. Mail postmarked with the due date is accepted. Metered mail DOES NOT constitute a postmark.
According to the current law it would be late as it could not be postmarked on the due date. Online banking gives the number of days it takes to process the payment. Leave enough days for the payment to be in the office on or before the due date as the envelopes do not come postmarked and are not accepted.
The Town of Manlius owns no parks. However, there are parks within the Town that are owned by other governmental agencies.

Yes, the company that we use to take credit card payments charges a non-refundable fee of 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction. You can register for multiple programs in one transaction. If you want to avoid this fee you may still mail or bring in a check to pay for the program at the Town of Manlius Recreation Office. Please be sure that your profile is done online at RecDesk before mailing in a check.
The 2021 annual charge for trash enrollment is $204.25 for a single family, $408.50 for a two-family and $612.75 for a three-family house. Brush enrollment is $31.41.
The charge(s) after enrolling is/are for the district(s) you are enrolled in will appear annually on your January property tax bill. If you join mid-year, there is a prorated charge for the Trash District only; there is no proration for mid-year brush enrollment.
The recycle bins are available at the Town Tax Receiver's office in Town Hall, 301 Brooklea Drive in Fayetteville between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Blue Bins are also available at the Town of Manlius Highway Department, 5970 Clemons Road, Minoa (315-656-3090) between the hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Only 2 bins allowed per household.
Please do not return your bin to Town Hall or the Highway Department. You must first contact "Jessie Jakway" at Syracuse Haulers. She will create a ticket for the hauler to let them know you have recycle bin (s) to be picked up. Have it out with your trash on your next trash day. This process avoids having recycle bins taken away that were not meant to be taken.
You can provide your own trash can or rent from Syracuse Haulers. If you provide your own trash can it can go up to 95 gallons. Syracuse Haulers will rent you a 65 or 95 gallon can on wheels. Rental of these carts is handled directly between you and Syracuse Haulers.
You may put your trash out in plastic bags and/or garbage cans. The plastic bags must not exceed the 32-gallon size or trash cans up to 95 gallons. The weight limit for each trash container is 50 pounds. All trash must be bagged whether in cans or not. There is a limit of eight (8)-32-gallon bags of trash for each collection day. There is no limit to the number of recycle items you can put out. If you are going to have an unusually large amount of trash and/or recyclables contact Syracuse Haulers ahead of the pick-up day.
ALL YARD WASTE MUST BE CONTAINED AND/OR BUNDLED. LOOSE PILES OF YARD WASTE WILL NOT BE PICKED UP. There is no limit on the amount of brush you may put out. If you are planning on having a lot to dispose of on a pick-up day please give Syracuse Haulers a ‘heads up’. The weight limit for brush/yard waste is 50 pounds per container. Please do not use plastic bags to hold your yard waste. Use either the biodegradable paper bags and/or rigid containers (even an old trash can is acceptable. Make sure the lid is off so that the hauler knows it is brush and not trash). Sticks/branches must either be in a rigid container or bundled with string or hemp twine. No wire please. In addition, any sticks/branches must not exceed five (5) feet in length or three (3) inches in diameter. Anything bigger requires a fee for pick-up. In this situation, please contact Syracuse Haulers to find out the charge and to arrange a pick-up date. Another option for disposing of your branches and trunk pieces is to take them to the Town of Manlius Highway Department where, from 7am to 3pm, Monday through Friday, there is an area available to dump these items at no charge. Please contact the Town of Manlius Highway Department at 315-656-3090 for more information (absolutely no landscapers are allowed to dump at the Town of Manlius Highway Garage.)
There is currently an eight 32-gallon bag limit on the number of trash bags that may be put out on any particular pick-up day. Regarding the recyclables and brush, there is no actual limit. However if you are planning on having an unusually large amount of either, please contact Syracuse Haulers before your pick-up day to give them a heads up. Remember: 50 pound limit for each trash bag/container and a 50 pound limit for each yard waste container.
