Meeting Highlights from the Clerk – 9/14/2022

Appletree Water District

The Town Board approved the formation of the Appletree Water District and directed the Town clerk to file the certified resolution and application with the State Comptroller. 

Zone Change Application - Seven Pines Project - 8104, 8108, 8112, 8116 Cazenovia Rd-  CA & RA to RM

The Town Board set a date for a public hearing for the zone change application for the October 12th Town Board meeting.

Brolex Properties – Megnin Farm – Route 5 – Zone Change Application – RA/CB to R-3

The applicant gave a presentation on the proposal. The Town Board discussed several issues with the applicant including sewer, property maintenance, rental units and the neighboring residential homes. The Town Board referred the application to the Town Planning Board and the Onondaga County Planning Board for their review. 

Proposed Changes to the Residential Multi-Use (RM) Zoning Classification

The Town Board reviewed the proposed changes to the RM zoning classification and set a date for a public hearing at the September 28th Town Board meeting.

Highway Bid -- Oil Water Separator

Highway Superintendent Cushing stated that the Highway Garage has an outdated water system to meet DEC standards. The Town Board approved the agreement with M. J. Engineering to begin scoping and bid preparation in an amount not to exceed $32,700.

Property Tax Cap – 2023 Fiscal Year

The Town Board set a date for a public hearing to consider a proposed local law to override the property tax cap for the 2023 fiscal year.

ARPA Funds – Public Input

The Town Board launched a webpage dedicated to the use of ARPA funding and is encouraging the public to visit the Town website and give their input. The webpage will have information on the proposed uses of the ARPA funding.
