3/23/22 Town Board Meeting Location Moved to ESM High School
The location of March 23rd Town Board meeting has been moved from Town Hall to the East Syracuse-Minoa High School, 6400 Fremont Rd., East Syracuse, NY
Open Podium
John Rybinski requested that the Town Board pass a resolution opposing the extended holiday hunt. The Department of Environmental Conservation extended deer hunting season from December 26 to January 1.
Centro Presentation – E Bikes & Scooters
Centro gave a presentation on the proposed program to have e-bikes and scooters as an alternate form of transportation in the Town of Manlius. The program is still in its initial phases and Centro will keep the town informed as the project moves forward.
Public Hearing Date Set – A&E SNY – Medical Center Drive
The Town Board set a date for a public hearing on March 23rd at 6:40PM to consider a to an application made by A&E & SNY Center LLC for zone change from Restricted Agriculture (RA) to Neighborhood Shopping (NS) for a parcel located on Medical Center Drive, Fayetteville NY (tax map # 086.-01-03.9). NYS Canal System Tourism Infrastructure Grant – Poolsbrook Boat Launch
The Town Board authorized the submission of a grant application for an accessible boat launch on the Old Erie Canal in Poolsbrook. The grant is a 50/50 grant which will require the town to match costs with in-kind services and funding. The town board had questions about the operations and liability of the boat launch which will be investigated further.
