Under the United States American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021, the Town of Manlius was issued $2,026,660 in recovery funds to replace lost revenues and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Town of Manlius currently has $1,775,468 ARPA funds after the 2022 budget appropriated ARPA funds to improve communications systems within Town Hall, radios for the police department and highway garage equipment. See chart below.
These recovery funds must be obligated by December 31, 2024. Recovery funds should be utilized similar to “one-time” funding and should not be used for ongoing operational costs.
Recovery funds must be spent by December 31, 2026.
Please review the Town of Manlius Proposal (pdf) for details on the projects we are considering as well some we have already completed. You can also watch a Town Board work session where we go through these proposals on our YouTube channel.
